Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of OneBooks. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you use OneBooks on behalf of a business, you accept these Terms on its behalf.
1. The service
OneBooks is cloud accounting software: invoicing, quotes, purchases, expenses, a double-entry ledger, financial reports, bank reconciliation and country-aware tax features. We provide it on a subscription basis and may add, change or remove features over time.
2. Eligibility & accounts
To use OneBooks:
- You must be able to form a binding contract and provide accurate registration details.
- You are responsible for your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- An account is intended per business workspace (“tenant”); you may invite team members and assign roles (owner, admin, user).
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Plans & pricing
OneBooks offers two plans:
- Free — available at no charge to customers of LithosPOS and other OneBooks partner applications, with the full product.
- Starter — for everyone else, at the price shown for your country, billed monthly after a 14-day free trial.
- Prices may be shown in your local currency and may change on notice; a change does not affect the period you have already paid for.
4. Billing, trial & cancellation
Billing terms for paid plans:
- The Starter trial runs for 14 days with no credit card required. If you add billing details and continue, the subscription bills monthly via Stripe.
- You can cancel anytime from billing settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial periods.
- We may suspend or limit access for non-payment.
5. Your data & content
Your books are yours. You retain all rights to the data and content you enter, and you grant us a limited licence to host, process and display it solely to provide the service. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the data you enter — including any third-party personal data, such as your customers' details — and for having the right to provide it to us.
6. Tax & compliance
OneBooks helps you produce invoices, tax reports and, in supported countries, e-invoices. These outputs depend entirely on the data and settings you provide. OneBooks is a software tool — not an accountant, auditor or tax advisor — and does not provide tax or legal advice. You are responsible for the correctness of your tax configuration and filings, including ZATCA e-invoicing in Saudi Arabia and GSTR returns in India. Always verify outputs before relying on or submitting them.
7. Acceptable use
When using OneBooks, you agree not to:
- Break the law, infringe others' rights, or create fraudulent or misleading records.
- Attempt to access other tenants' data, or probe, scan, breach or disrupt the security of the service.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or overload the service or its API beyond permitted use.
8. Integrations & partners
OneBooks can connect to LithosPOS and other applications over OAuth 2.0, and acts as an OAuth provider for partners. Your use of a connected application is governed by that application's own terms; you authorize the data exchange when you connect it.
9. Intellectual property
OneBooks, including its software, design and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer any ownership to you.
10. Availability & changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance and may modify or discontinue features. Where practical, we will give reasonable notice of material adverse changes.
11. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and that outputs will be error-free or meet every regulatory requirement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OneBooks will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
13. Termination
You may stop using OneBooks and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for non-payment. On termination, you may export your data for a reasonable period, after which it may be deleted, subject to legal retention requirements.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction — except where mandatory laws of your country of residence give you additional rights.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new date and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email. Your continued use of OneBooks after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
